Wanted to download online video files? You can do it easily if it is from YouTube, which I have briefly explained before.
But just how do you download video files from websites that are not from YouTube.com and there’s no third party tool website which can help you to download it? For example, try downloading the video from this page: http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-take-photos-of-buildings
There is one way which I have used prior to the existence of websites that support download of flv (YouTube video) files online.
You can get it from your browser’s Temporary Internet Files directory. 🙂
Of course, you will need to load the page with the video first, stream or play the entire video, and proceed to the steps below right after the video finished playing. For ease of finding the flv file, do not browse to other websites (other than this one of course 🙂 )
If you are using Internet Explorer
1) Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General (tab) -> Click on the Settings button -> Click on the View Files… button
2) The Temporary Internet Files explorer will show up:

3) Sort the list with Last Accessed, where most recent files are at the top
4) Locate the FLV file and copy it to somewhere else
5) Play it with offline FLV player
If you are using Mozilla Firefox
1) Go to the page with the video you want to download
2) Go to Tools -> Page Info -> Media(tab)
3) Select the swf/flv file of EMBED file type
4) Save to a location you prefer
5) Play it with offline FLV player
Simple as that!
If you are using other browsers, Google is your friend.
For Geeks using Mozilla Firefox
You can use ‘about:cache?device=disk‘ on the URL bar.
