Usually near the train station and the first hotel you will see when you arrive in a destination. The Ibis hotel in Marakkech Morocco was just too posh and wasn't that cheap to begin with. But all in all it's a big chain. If I'm not hallucinating, maybe it's in Siem Reap, Cambodia also? But then when I backpack I like to stay in one of those local guesthouse which has their homes and little gardens attached to it. Bali have loads of such hotels.
