Anjung Warisan – Angklung performance

January 13th, 2014

This is a dated video, taken in 2013 at Restoran Anjung Warisan in Johor Bahru.

This restaurant has seen better days. It was quite famous years ago due to its tree-top dining feature, where diners can choose between typical tables with chairs to sit, or on the floor, or above the tree settings.

During my recent visit, I discovered they they have live musical performances done with the Angklung, by some teenagers. The boy in the following video is only 13 years old in 2013.

While the Angklung is a traditional musical instrument, the songs they played with it are current, making it an enjoyable environment for the diners.
