1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Photos
Visited the 1st Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta on Saturday and it was a not-to-be-missed event for photographers and the public in general.
Although it is the first Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Malaysia, it was able to get participation from various countries around the world. The public who attended this event was not much less either.
And just look at the number of photographers there. 🙂
The time was only 7.52am.
What’s better to start of an early Saturday morning? Nescafe of course.
The Nescafe balloon was the first to got filled-up with hot air and the first to greet photographers at the entrance.
Other balloons started to rise up by 8am.
You can feel the heat when you’re getting nearer to the balloons and when those guys turned them on.
I mean the fire.
Of course the balloons doesn’t just stand upright all the while.
They need some blowing initially.
With fans, to fill them up with air first.
And also a truck to anchor them to the ground, just in case they got too heated up and fly away. 🙂
We’re talking extreme heat here.
And the balloons are up.
The rise of a peacock. A peacock balloon.
The team of hot air balloons. 🙂
First to lift off!
An orange is following.
And the enormous cup of Nescafe.
And then the others follow suit.
There’s this sad clown and a drunken elephant among them.
The peacock is finally up in the air.
And the clown is happy now. 🙂
The MasterCard balloon flies without a basket.
Looks fun, but risky to me.
Soon, all the hot air balloons are up in the air.
I think I will be attending the 2nd fiesta, if there’s any. 🙂
Enjoy the rising of the peacock balloon and also a para-glider in action.
